Your statement is a little confusing...you say that 2.0 is backwards compatible with 1.1, but then you go on to say that 2.0 is not 1.1 compatible. I think you may want to make that a little clearer to avoid confusion. FWIW, 2.0 devices ARE 1.1 compatible, they will simply run at 1.1 speeds. As far as having both on the same hub, I'm afraid I don't know the answer to that one.Originally posted by: ai42
No, they are two diffrent standards. USB 2.0 is backwards compatable with USB 1.1, however they are diffrent standards. Therefore in order for a USB 2.0 device to work it has to use the 2.0 standard. And if you have have 1.1 device it has to use a diffrent standard. Since most USB 2.0 devices are not 1.1 compatable I don't think they would slow it down as they are seperate standards.
