I finally got my new computer up and going, but I have one more small problem. I was listening to winamp, then all of a sudden the sound got all weird. so I turned winamp off and I can still hear little scratchy noises and such. I have to turn down down the volume to shut it off. its like little clicks and scratches. whats wrong?

im using an audigy zs2 plat.

thanks

Try unplug your current speakers and test it with a different set of speakers or headphones to find out if it's a problem of your speakers first.

im using an optical cable out of the audigy to a yamaha receiver going to a surround sound system. its not the receiver or the speakers i already tested it. and its not the optical cable.. i tried another one

Are you running it on an AMD system? i've heard of clicking problem with Audigy 2 ZS and AMD systems in these fourms. I don't have one so i can't be sure... try isolate the problem. if it's definately a problem of the sound card, make sure you get the latest driver
