I'm building a system and the video cards arrived first. They have a 6 pin power adapter on the end of them, and were Dell system pulls. Does a video card typically come with this adapter, or are there specific power supplies that support PCI-E?

Aw crap, I submitted an emptry reply, so I better add something here. From what I understand, many older power supplies don't have a proper connector, and some of the video cards that need the hook-up don't include the adapter. You'll usually have to buy an adapter, like my friend did with his 6800GT. They're not too expensive, though.

Some power supplies come with the connectors, even 2 if they are SLI specific PSU. The cards almost always come with the adapter, you can always buy it if not. You probably want to look for a ATX 2.0 compliant PSU.
