A friend of mine just got his cable modem installed with Time Warner's Road Runner. He wants to share the connection (of course), but the modem they sent connects to the computer via USB. My question is, are there any DSL/Cable routers with a USB input for the internet connection? I have their old modem with the same old RJ45 connector and am using the Linksys router with the 4 port switch without any problems. I just need to find out if there is a router that supports the USB connection yet, or if he needs to tell Road Runner that his USB died on his system, and they need to send him the other one.

Thanks

It's likely got a USB NIC built in to it (combination of modem and USB NIC), and if so could be shared quite easily with the two-NIC setup, as described on the homepclan web site, using sharing software.

It has a USB port right on the modem and does not use a USB adapter at the PC?
