Supposedly the new coconut water. A bit of reading here:

I tried 2 brands:

http://www.drinkmaple.com/

http://www.verticalwater.com/

Drink Maple is the smaller one, 8.45 ounces for $2.69. Kind of like a little juice box. No spout or resealable lid, so you have to drink it all at once. Vertical Water is in a much nicer Tetra Pak with a screw-on lid and is 16.9 ounces for $2.99, literally twice the liquid for only 30 cents more.

Maple Water is made from maple sap (which is like water, not like pine sap); Vertical water is made from maple water. The Drink Maple version basically tasted like good water (like an Aquafina bottled water) with a big drop of maple syrup flavor extract in it - not sugary by a long shot, but just a hint of mapleyness. I would drink this one again. Note that the maple flavor is very slight.

Did not care for the Vertical Water very much, despite the better price for the quantity & superior packing. It wasn't as refreshing to drink as the Drink Maple was, and kind of gave me that bad flavor like when you drink water after eating Skittles candies. I'm not sure what the different between the maple water & maple sap ingredients are (they seem to be the same thing?), but the Drink Maple brand was a lot better.

Would I buy them again? The Vertical Water, no. The Drink Maple...sure, but only if it was cheaper - just as something different to drink. I wouldn't go out of my way to buy it. $2.69 (at my local Whole Foods) is crazy money for an 8-ounce drink (again, think toddler juice-pack size). Supposedly it has health benefits (46 nutrients, more magnese than a cup of kale, etc.). Note that coconut water recently had to scale back on their health claims:

Personally I don't really care for coconut water, at least not the boxed kind. It's good fresh, if you have a chilled, fresh coconut you can drink it from, but even then it's still kind of funky. The Drink Maple brand would be a good alternative drink hit on a hot day if you're out biking or something, but I'd be more apt to buy it if it were like 99 cents (still too expensive for the size, but that'd be my tipping point), or if they sold like a shrinkwrapped 6-pack for a few bucks. I sometimes use the Thrive Diet's sports drink here as an alternatively to water:

TL;DR: It's slightly flavored water (like a thousand percent less than fruit-flavored waters), supposedly with some minor health benefits. Too expensive. Not all brands have an equal taste. Would buy again for fun if it were cheaper.

I guess I still just like Coffee, Milk, or Beer myself the majority of the time.

My wife will probably show up with some in the near future I imagine.
