What's the Performance Gain between PC2-6400 and PC2-8500. I am going for the max because my thinking is The More, The Better Performance. If I am wrong, Please tell me what Memory to get? Meaning what PC2-Speed to get?

Your guys comments help me in alot of ways. I save MONEY and get the BEST Product. So help me out guys.

And YES, I am gona be running Asus Maximus Formula SE + Intel Core 2 Extreme OX9770! (Yorkfield)

THX!

You're going to run a single 3.2GHz CPU rather than dual 3GHz quad core processors?
Forget I said anything about memory.

Yes, Single Processor not Two. But thx to you I did a quick Read up on the comparesing on PC2-6400 VS PC2-8500 and a lot of people are saying that the Gain in Performance is not whole alot. They say that you can OC your PC2-6400 to the Speed of PC2-8500. So I took your advice and I did a quick check of PC2-6400 and the Prices I found are really good. Here is a quick list and tell me which of these would you recommend me getting:

After reading around, it looks like everyone is telling me to go with 8800GT instead of 9600GT. 8800GT is a bit more expensive, but I don't mind pay that little bit if difference. So would you guys recommend me getting the 8800GT?

Also if not getting a Raptor, would you guys recommend me looking at the new WD Caviar® SE16 640 GB, 3 Gb/s, 16 MB Cache, 7200 RPM? Your Thoughts?

THX != thanks. THX is an audio technology. You may wish to be a bit more specific in your titles in the future...

You don't mind paying, is an understatement after picking the QX9770 for your CPU.
If you're spending that much on a processor, there shouldn't be many limits as to what you should spend on the rest of the components.

Hey Blain, thx for the input. I guess you don't know how I got that QX9770. So let me tell you how I got it.

It finally paid of having my cousin work at INTEL. So I got a call on Tuesday (March 18, 2008) from my Cousin say if I wanted a Processor and of course I said hell ya. So guys guess what Processor I got? Give Up?

The Processor I got is ?Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 Processor?. Clocked at 3.2GHz with 12MB of Cache and with 1600MHz Front Side Bus. (Ya Baby!) I was building a New Rig Anyway. I was planning to get the Intel Core 2 Quad Q9450, but getting the Extreme Edition Instead is Welcome Any Day.

So there you have it Blain. My story of How I got my processor. So know would you recommend me getting the 8800GT and the OCZ Reaper HPC Edition 4GB(2 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

Once again thx for all the help man!
