My family wants to go on a mega short-notice vacation. It'll be just a quick overnight trip enjoying two full days.

I am located around Boston.

We want something to do with fresh water. We've done Cape Cod... I know NH has lots of hidden gem lakes like New Found Lake.

I'm not familiar with western hickville mass either. You know any good spots?

We just want to do simple things like:
Swimming
Hiking
Some sight seeing if there is a quaint town, but not a must.

Man up and drive a little farther. Go to Acadia National Park in Maine. I've been around some, and that's one of the most beautiful places I've been to.
