Quick RAM Question

We're currently trying to upgrade a Hewlett-Packard 6535 PC. It needs more memory, so we went digging through our old pile, and among about 2 million worthless sticks of EDO RAM we found these:

2 sticks of 128MB SDRAM, 133 MHZ, ECC, Synch (not sure what that means) CL3 RAM
1 Stick that claims to be PC-100 RAM with 4MBx64 of RAM. I'm not sure I believe this because it looks awfully big and the modules looks pretty bulky to be that big a stick.

Anyways, just wondering, which, if any of these can that model HP computer take? One of us has concerns that the 128MB sticks being ECC will make the motherboard unable to recognize it, and can that old computer handle 256 MB of RAM on one stick?

Any info is appreciated, thanks

From Crucial's page for that computer it appears to max out at 256MB (chipset limitation perhaps?) with two 128MB modules. If I were you, I'd heave in the ECC PC133 modules and see if it sees the whole 256MB.

The ECC aspect of the modules might throw it a curve, or it might just be ignored... if it works at all, then you're home free on that aspect. If the system works but it doesn't recognize all 256MB, then your PC133 modules are higher-density than what the chipset knows how to deal with.
