okay i'm upgrading from a GF2 GTS and i've got a couple of deals going, but i can get em both for about the same price. i play games like fifa 2003, bf 1942, CS, etc. My monitor also has a max res of 1280 x 1024 so i don't have to worry about gaming above that res.

Also running an 8rda+ and 512mb ram. So quick, if you could choose for the sameprice, which would you take?

9500 non pro I would go with the Ti4600 hands down. 9500 Pro it is neck and neck.

Yep

go with 4600 unless you can find a 9500 PRO for the same price.

If you can find a 128 MB non pro then give the non pro some consideration even if it cannot be modded to 9700 mode. As the 128 run much better with AA and AF compared to the 64 MB ones. Also you get DX9 support which may pay off in the future.

I believe that in any scenario were the Ti4600 seriously beats out the 9500 non pro the 9500 still provides plenty of frames, but with AA and AF at high, I believe the 128 MB ones are faster or at least very close.

IMHO, go with the 9500np.

I had a 128mb 4200 from the BB deal, and sold it because the image quality on the GF4 is garbage. I base that by using the hill tops and looking for jaggies in BF1942. I also use the US jeep steering wheel. in the GF4 it is more of an octagon where with the Radeon, it still has some corners, but not nearly as pronounced.

my 9500np will overclock(385/290) to give me a 12,500 3dmark score where as the 4200 overclocked to 310/660 (over 4600 speeds) could only turn an 11,800

I can run the 9700 hack to get 14,000 3dmarks but I get slight checkerboarding, and besides, as a 9500 it is fast enough.

just my .02
