If I buy a DS3R for an E8400, will it work right away or will the BIOS need to be flashed to a newer version?

My EP35C-DS3R rev. 2.1 came with F2 bios, The EP35-DS3R rev. 2.1 should come with the same and it does support the E8400 chip. if you were to get the E7xxx chips, you would need to flash to F3b. Here is a link for that board.
