Quick question

Hello. I didn't want to post on the big thread because I'm sure it'll get ignored.

I have but one question: I have never played any of the Elder Scrolls games before. I thoroughly enjoy this game. Now, I notice all these provinces around Cyrodiil, and, looking online, I notice they even have named cities in them (according to Bethesda publications). My question: Can you go into these in-game, or are you limited to Cyrodiil (that'd be pretty sad)?

I attempted to ride into Skyrim from Bruma, but it said something along the lines of "Cannot Go Furthur." Why?

I understand the reviews said the game world was massive, but somehow it doesn't feel so massive to me if we are limited to this one province.

Any word? I'm beginning to believe those regions were not part of Oblivion. The game is massive enough already, but the fact that there is little change in terrain, all the major towns come pre-explored and this "fast travel" feature really makes the game world seem small.

Ah, didn't think so. I guess I will resort to just playing and not worrying about it. It is still a great game, though I find it incredibly difficult to choose the appropriat furnishings for my house. It's not one of the major points of the game, but it is hard as hell to put your books in the appropriate position on bookshelves.

Now, if I understand correctly, items stored in your house do not go away ever unless stolen, correct?

Each of the Elder Scrolls games take place in other provinces (after daggerfall they decided to focus only on one province with each game). For example, Morrowind (Elder Scrolls III) takes place in the Morrowind province. RedGuard (Elder scrolls 2?) takes place in the Hammerfell province. You will be limited to the massive province of Cyrodiil and Oblivion in ES4, if you want to explore the other provinces of Tameriel, buy Morrowind and the other games, I believe that ES1 and ES2 are freeware now, check www.theelderscrolls.com.
