Quick Question

Does anyone know of a quick way to take files in many folders out of those folders?

For example if you have mp3's organized by artist folders, is there a way to get all of the mp3s out into one directory without having to manually take them out one at a time?

search for *.mp3, highlight and drag

but why do you want all your MP3s in 1 big folder

Try the search function, then Drag and Drop them over to the new directory.

That's how I do it. What's the point of folders?

That's what _____(insert familar media player) is for.

i dont like to have 8000 mp3s loaded in 1 huge playlist at all times

I also hate searching through 8000 of them in 1 dir to find the one im looking for

Music/Artist/Album/Artist - ## - title.mp3 is much eaiser to use

I would agree, but iTunes solves that problem.

Or do you mean you wouldn't even like to have all of your songs in your iTunes library?

I love the iTunes search function - there's a lot of times that I don't remember the artist but I remember the song title, or vice versa. You can even type in the name of someone in the band and it'll bring up all songs by that band. (As long as the tag is complete.)
