Quick Question: Why is XP 1500+ more than 1600+?

I suppose this could go in the CPU / overclock forum...

I guess it's because of something like the 1500+ is easier to unlock / overclock? Just curious. I saw this at two vendors that are reasonably high rated.

Any drawbacks to the XP 1700+, it's $3 more than the 1600+. Next jump is like $10 for the 1800+.

Thx.

Nope, it's because the prices are so close to each other the vendor realizes they'll need more 1600's than 1500's. They buy more 1600's, get a larger discount, and pass the savings on to you.

I'd just buy the 1800+.

Just buy a space heater. It will do the same thing but it's a lot cheaper.
