Quick Question Regarding the iPod Touch

Since Amazon has the iPod Touch on sale (7% off on 8GB, 10% off on 16GB), I've been wondering if I should buy one.

My question is...

After jailbreaking it, an iPod Touch essentially is (or can be) an iPhone without the "phone", correct?

BTW, should I buy the 8GB or the 16GB. The price for the 16GB is pretty enticing but its so expensive at the same time. Damn you Amazon for having this sale!

Correct. If you can legally acquire them, you can install all of the applications from the iPhone minus the phone and SMS applications.

As for size, it's purely a personal matter. Would the 8GB of extra space be $100 more useful?

It's still on sale right now. Don't know when it'll last. Price on the 16GB went up to $368 though.

iPod touch is the best gadget-related purchase I've made in years (maybe since my Diamond Rio PMP300).

It is smaller than my 5.5g ipod, has better vid quality, takes over a lot of what i used my laptop for. I could go on for days...

//EDIT: I went 16 gig and have loved it. Helpful to be able to load more video when I'm going on a trip (esp since you can't buy video on the fly like you can audio).
