Quick question re: Making doubles of photos...

You can only do that with the negatives right? Because I think I lost those and a friend wanted to know if she could have a set of photos I had.... just making sure
 
With a high enough quality scanner, you could scan the originals to a digital format, then take them into walmart and reprint the digital copies.

I've done that with pretty good success.
 
Hmm, sounds like a good idea. Too bad I don't have a scanner though... but if I were to get one, is there a big enough difference between a 1200X2400DPI scanner and a 600X1200DPI one?
