Quick Question on Upgrading

System in question:

1000mhz/133mhz Tbird
IWILL KK266Plus Mobo
2x256MB pc133 Kingston Value Ram
ATI Radeon 9200
1x40gig 7200rpm Maxtor hd
WinXP Pro SP 2

I just want apps to be able to start faster and run smoother on it. It's not used for gaming much but does run sims 2.

The limit on the cpu would be a 1300mhz/133mhz Tbird and the limit on the ram would be 1024MB total, so that means 1x512MB for the upgrade.

Which would be more beneficial?

In your case, I *really* suggest you upgrade that system. You can grab some new stuff for pretty cheap, 500$ gets you a good basic word/internet system.

RAM

but it wouldn't hurt to see if you could get a cheap 1300 on ebay. You might want to experiment with a tiny oc.
