Quick Question on mobile gpus

So, im looking into getting a Lenovo with a 570m in it for doing CAD and some game programming on it for school.

My question is, what is the difference in he 570m that is made for graphic design and the NVIDIA® GeForce® 8800M GTX made for gaming?

Can the 570m play some fairly decent games as well? Not saying its going to match up to the 8800m but I was just curious 🙂, I might get bored in class one day lol.

Quadro's are perfectly capable of gaming. They just GeForce cards, but the drivers are more openGL based. www.laptopvideo2go.com has modified drivers that basically turn them into a GeForce.

As far as performance comparable to an 8800m GTX, I can't say. If it is the Quadro equivalent of the 8800m then it will perform basically the same in games.
