Quick question on drive jumpers

For the jumpers on things like HDD and cd-rom, is there any disadvantage to setting to Cable Select over master or slave?
 
None that I know of. I usually sleect the setting (master or slave) myself.

Me niether .. cept I never do, I have been told that it's fuxored to do it that way so I never messed w/ it.
