quick question: mounting the mobo

I am now attempting to mount my asus k8v in an antec 1080 plus and the case came with standoffs already installed in certain spots. If there is no hole in my motherboard for a certain spot, are you supposed to remove it, or leave it there? Will it touch the mobo still?

if left in a spot where it doesn't line up it will most likely cause a short..gl on the install 🙂
