quick question for all you scsi people

i just got this cheetah 15.3k drive working, but my brother said taht partitioning it would cause a slight loss of performance (i want to put xp on a 1gb partition). is there any weight to what he said?

different question, but i'm partitioning it now. 1gb to windows lol. makes for an effortless reinstall later, losing no data. gotta love stripping down ur xp install to a little over 500mb, rest is for page file

I always used 10-15GB for my XP partition.

My Windows folder alone is 3.2GB

Page file on the same partition, not to mention the same drive, as your system?

partioning a scsi isn't different than partitioning an ide drive
