Quick question: Does it matter where you put the master driveo on the IDE cable?

Does it matter if I put the slave at the end and master on the middle connector, or the master at the end and slave in the middle?
 
If you're using an older 40wire cable then no.

But if you use ata 66/100/133 80 wire cables then yes it does, Blue end goes to board,grey goes to slave & master goes to black.
