Argghhhh... I hate to see somebody buy this card (thinking of what could be bought for 60.00 for PCI-e), but, if that's all that can be done. It should be faster than your 9800pro (I think) with 12 pipes. But it does have 1/2 the memory bandwidth. Being on AGP I understand your are limited with your purchases.

To answer your question, yes, this card does have a 4 pin "floppy drive" power connector in the top right hand corner. It's the white connector at the extreme top right if you look at the newegg photo gallery for this card. No "special" connectors required. Just as long as your Dell system has an extra floppy drive power connector.

No, that card gets its power solely through the PCIe bus

Sol Meister. It's AGP. take a look at the newegg photos in the link he gave us.

taken from newegg photo gallery for this card.

I wish the OP gives us the model name of his Dell (Like Dimension 4300). This way I can look at the layout in the service manual and see if there is a floppy connector on the PSU for that model...

How would that effect my gameplay???

Basically I'm looking for a total major awe inspiring upgrade. I'm basically looking for a card that when I play WoW, WC3 and Maxpayne 2 and half life. It will look the same or better than my 9800 pro.

I dont want to buy this card and get a downgrade in experience but if it plays the same or slightly better I will be happy.

I just want a card that works at the 9800 lvl or better and will last me until I can upgrade my system within a year and also work with my older system *spec in the link I gave in first post*

Dr G, the card you linked to will be faster than your 9800pro was. I was just thinking out loud and I'm sorry if I confused you about it.
the 1650 would be a good interim card until you do your major upgrade.

Yup. X1650pro ~ Nvidia 7600GS.

??

Its a Dell dimension 8300

Meant for those more familiar with the 7600GS... the X1650pro performs similarly. Definitely faster than the 9800pro.

Sorry, didn't intend to cause any confusion.
