Quick question about wireless networking..

Okay heres the deal, our tenants downstairs have dsl (6.0mpbs download) and there own router from there service provider which is capable of wireless/wired networking.. now my dad also has a router downstairs in one of our rooms (which is a wired router) which is directly linked from there router to it with a wire, so that cable management is easier throughout the house.. and my dad's router supplies 3 computers.. (mine, my sisters, and his).. now my question is.. if I buy a wireless card and get a signal directly from our tenants router and bypass the wired router we have.. will my internet be faster at all?? or the same thing... since we are all sharing the connection either way.. thanks for any advice
