Quick Question about Windows XP

Is there any way to remove items (permanently) from the windows toolbar (I think that is the name for it....kinda having a brain fart atm - it is the list of icons on the bottom right of the screen next to the clock.)

That is the Taskbar.

Those show some of the programs that are running on your system.

Some individual progs will have the option not to show, for instance VGA cards, language bar etc.

Right click on them and look for a disable option.

If not, run msconfig and shut it down from there.

Sometimes if you just right click it and close it it will close permenantly, depending on the software company.
