A friend and I are looking into starting a small business. What we are a bit confused about are all the forms we should look into with regard to licensing and reselling and whatnot. I already have the form to register a ficticious business name since we will not be using a legal birth name in our title. I was just wondering what other forms are involved. If anyone knows it would be a big help. Thanks

After you register the name, they should provide you with info on what to do next. Things like, which newspaper to publish your name with, how to get a tax id. Register for LLC or LLP, etc. Just ask the person if they don't volunteer the info up front.

Yea, I was going to head down there and talk to someone. I was just hoping to have somewhat of an idea before I went in there hehe. Thanks for the replies.

You need a business plan first and foremost. Starting a business without a comprehensive Business Plan is like driving across country without a map. You can get there, but' you'll make some wrong turns along the way.
Start with the Small Business Admin's site.
Then look for anything by the Nolo Press regarding small businesses.
Good luck.
And welcome to the REAL Working World.
You've just created 2 new jobs for the Country!

1st advice ... develop a STRONG STRONG Business plan. "winging it" wont cut it.
