Quick Question About Seagate SATA

Hey I am about to purchase a Seagate 120gb Barracuda SATA HDD. However, one model has NCQ and one model doesn't yet they are both the same price. Well my question is - Would the SATA drive with NCQ work on a mobo that doesn't have NCQ? For example an MSI K8N Neo2.

Yes, it will work. Using an NCQ drive on a non-NCQ board just means you can't take advantage of that feature.

If the NCQ and non-NCQ drives are the same price, go for the NCQ. You never know when you will upgrade to a board that will be NCQ-enabled. 😀
