Quick Question about dating....

I met this beautiful girl a few weeks ago. Since then we have talked more and more. I really like her, but she keeps telling me that she still likes her EX. But its been 2 months since they broke up and he doesn't want to get back together with her. Should I ask her out? I'm thinking of asking her to go to the mall or to a movie tonight...I don't know if I should do it though.

thanks

If you don't ask, you'll never know.

If she says no, that's it.

If she says yes, then go get her and quit posting threads on ATOT. 😀

Well if I ask her and she says no and we stop being friends that won't be cool

Just invite her as a friend and see how things develop. I can't see how that would cause a problem.

so you'd rather live a life of quiet desperation than know either way?

<ladies man>The answer to your problems is to do it up the butt</ladies man>

Depending on how old SHE is, I would address this differently.

If she's under 21, she's going to be more likely to wait a while before she moves on after the breakup. I would totally back off and let her move on. No offense, but if she digs her Ex over you, it's time to move on. She might come to her senses, but most likely will find someone who reminds her of her ex in some way.

If she's over 21, she's probably been around the block some and might get over him a little quicker. However, 2 months is long enough that you're probably better off finding another honey.

My final advice: Give her 1 chance. Ask her out on a Date. Throw out all the stops and see how far you get. If she still seems to be thinking about what's-his-name, or even brings him up....end the date right then and there and leave her.

Why should you stop being friends.... it will just mean that you could still be friends... but nothing more...

no she doesn't dig her ex more than me i'll tell you that.
when we hang out shes always all over me and talking bout how cute i am....ect

Ask her out. But just be cautious and don't get too attached, because if she is just a few months out from a past relationship, you could end up as the "rebound guy."

Good point...

Stop wasting your life with what ifs and do it. Tell her you know she's still hurting from the breakup with her ex but you've really been enjoying your time together and would like to take her somewhere just the two of you. Think of the possible rewards if she says yes and your friendship goes to higher levels instead of negatively assuming it will go downhill.

Sometimes you just have to take the risk though. If you stop being friends, it isn't the end of the world. Ask her out. Do it for all us geeks on AT that aren't going on dates tonight.

Cool. If she'd said no, you've only known her a few weeks...what kind of loss would that have been?

The rewards far outweighed the risk! 🙂

Oh yeah...

:camera:s??
