Just don't do what I did - I started working full time, then 50 hours a week, and trying school full time too. I fell on my face, and dropped all of my classes that semester.

12 hours and 20 hours a week of work are KILLING me this semester. Too bad those 4 classes were...Computer Architecture (typically 15-20 hrs/week of work), Semiconductor Physics (another 10-12 hrs/week), Digital Comm (typically only 6-7 hrs/week) and Digital Image Processing (typically 6-7 hrs/week, but I've been fscked with a project the last week or so).

It isn't a pleasant experience.

3 classes, school doesnt do cred hours
college didnt do cred hours either, took 4 classes a sem in college worked 20 hours a week for teh school

well rather then credit hours, about how long where you in each of your classes, actual hours wise I mean.

If I do what I am thinking, I would be working like 1-5 M-F, then probablly take 1, 4 hour class 3 out of the 5 days(M-F, don't want to school on weekends). SO 3 days a week i would be working/school 9 hours per day not including travel time. Then I would have whatever time may be left in those days as well as the other 4 days to do homework. It sounds doable, I just want to make sure before I do it.

hours in class varied by sem, because of classes but generally 16-18 a week of in class time, a few sems hit 20,

How much time do you guys spend on studying/homework per week.

As I said I am currently working 20 hours a week, but I have another job available as at network help desk guy working 30 hours per week. But at that job i would be able to study or do homework while I am not actually busy with work. Just wondering which would be a better use of my time. I like my current job cause it pays well, and has the best benefits package I have ever seen, let alone for a part time job. But the job itself sucks. The other job, is something I am more interested in, although I can't say that will make it likeable as I know how bad help desk type jobs can be, having to deal with all the retards out there. It is related to the area I am looking to get into, so the experience would be great. The benefits are okay, but not great. I would likely end up getting paid more as well, or at least about the same, but it would end up being at less money per hour, just with more hours.

Right now, I am taking 17 credit hours, work 40 hrs a week.

I work for a bank through a consulting firm doing dsk side support from 7-4. Take night classes and saturday classes to get done as fast as humanly possible.

Right now I am a jr.

If you can go ahead and mention how tough your schedule is as well. It doesn't really help knowing how much time you are putting in, without knowing how its working for you.

this semester, 15 credit hours and 20 hours of work per week. i have a lot of free time to relax. i think i could handle 15 credit hours plus up to around 30 hours of work though with neither suffering quality-wise.

I used to take 4 classes a quarter, 16-18 units, engineering units, and also work about 15 hours in my part time job. Now i'm taking 3 classes 12 units and working 20 hours in my 2 jobs combined, I also recently joined 2 clubs in which i am an active member in 1 and an officer in another, working currently on 3 projects (2 webpage design, 1 game programming project) for those clubs combined.

edit: add on 6 hours of aikido this quarter, and 4.5 hours of weight training spread out through the week.

I'm taking 13 hours, and working 40 hours a week. I leave my house at 7:00 every morning and usually don't get home till after 8:00PM.

Edit: That's 4 classes:
Graphics Programming
Databases
Statistics (Calculus based)
Some World Religions class (fulfills an intensive writing requirement for graduation)

I take 15 credits (3 classes), and work 20 hours a week. It sucks at time, but that's life.
