I have an equation that shows up as

=SUM(B7-C7)

Is there any way to get it to show the actual equation of B7 - C7 like this?

50,387 - 18,482

I'm trying to find an easier way to show my work in a finance statement, this would definitely save me about an hours worth of work...Thanks for any help.

If you hit "Ctrl" + "~" Excel will toggle between showing the equations ("=SUM(B7-C7)") and showing the answers. That's the only thing close to what you're doing that I can think of. The equations only reference the cells and not the values in the cells. I'm pretty sure that you have to manually do it if you absolutely need the formulae displayed with the actual numbers.

My professors have always accepted showing Excel's equations as showing our work, but that might be different at your university.
