Quick question about a case fan

I bought a case fan for my parents' computer today. No problems with it. It works and everything. But I'm not 100% sure that I installed it in the right direction for it to be an "exhaust" fan. Is there a general rule of thumb to confirm that the air is blowing out? I think I feel more air from the inside of the computer than outside, but I can't be 100% sure.

I think I read somewhere that the label on the fan should be facing the back of the computer (and not toward you) if you want it to be an exhaust fan.

If someone could give me some kind of way to confirm or "rule of thumb," that would be helpful. Thank you.
 
On one of the sides of the outer housing of the fan there's usually an arrow indicating direction of airflow as well as direction of rotation. Look closely because it's just a raised arrow, the same colour as the housing itself.
