Quick PSU recommendation

I'm looking at buying a new PSU to replace the my generic 500W Antec that came with my old case. I am planning on buying a 7970 or 7950 and want enough power to potentially crossfire when I upgrade my upgrade my cpu/motherboard further down the road.

Here is Guru3D's power supply recommendation:

• Radeon HD 7970 - On your average system the card requires you to have a 550 Watt power supply unit.
• Radeon HD 7970 Crossfire - On your average system the cards require you to have a 750 Watt power

And here are the two PSUs I'm debating between. I chose SeaSonic because a lot of people to recommend them. I'm assuming the X-Series is good?

For $10 more I can't see why I shouldn't go with the 1050W unless there is some odd difference between the two. Thanks in advance 😛.

me, i'd go with the 650, save $80 now, and then sell if need be later on down the line. unless you're going crossfire right now, you're much more likely never to do so.

further, i'm still looking for power consumption figures while crossfired, but based on what one card takes i'm pretty confident in thinking the 650 will power even a crossfired 7970 set up.

so unless you're doing GPU compute it looks like the 650 provides 275 watts for the rest of the system. and iirc the 650 will take higher than rated loads without issue as well.
