Hi, I plan to swap in my old Amd 2800+ into a computer with a 2600+. I don't need to swap the motherboard or any other parts, so will I have to reinstall windows and format, ect, ect just for a CPU swap??

I've heard many differing responses to this question on other forums. To clarify, is he right, or will I have to reinstall windows xp??
 
Some ppl reinstall windows everytime a new piece of prized hardware goes into the machine. My opty 170 needed no such reinstallation. It took the place of a Venice 3500+

Edit: Oh, and would anyone be interested in purchasing my 3500+ T_T
