i am currently in the process of building my first computer. this MB has room for a 24 pin power cable, and also an extra 4pin spot. The antec sonata II / PSU combo I have has a 20+4pin connector. do I connect the two and put it in the 24 pin slot, AND a 4 pin?
 
solet me make sure I have this right, if your MOBO has 24 and 4, and your PSU has 20+4, you attach the 20 to the 24, and then the +4 to the 4?
 
The 4 pins square connector has its own socket on the board, and not to be placed with the 20 pins connector to make it as a 24 one.
You have to connect both. Which motherboard?
