Quick PayPal question

I have a premium account that I use to receive payments from eBay users. I recently sold a high-ticket item this weekend and the sender was Unverified. However, I am eligible for the Seller Protection Policy and the shipping address is Confirmed. The sender's e-mail is also an AOL account and the address is legitimate. How do people even get funds in their account if they're Unverified? Receiving from others? So my question is: Is there any cause for concern in this scenario? I've never been ripped off on PayPal before, but better safe than sorry as I know it's happened to others.

So to summarize...

CONCERNS:
sender is UNVERIFIED
0 feedback rating on eBay (but ID has been around since '02)

RELIEF:
seller protection policy - ELIGIBLE
shipping address - CONFIRMED
e-mail address - legitimate @aol.com
shipping address - local (which makes sense since these are baseball tix i'm selling)

thanks in advance guys.

It just means the account has not been linked to a bank account. (unless my memory is wrong)

Correct.

Either the account isn't linked, or is in process of being verified (via two small deposits made to the account).

yea, i know that's what it means. a sender is VERIFIED if they link their bank account or credit card. which is why i'm wondering how they have funds in the first place, and whether there is any risk in me getting ripped off.

thanks

Oh its easy to get funds without being linked to a bank account. You can sell stuff and the money is there without the need for an account. I never once transfered money from my bank to my paypal. All my money on my paypal is from selling. I just verified to have it say verified =p

yea, that's true. it's just weird because he has no feedback and the amount of the tickets he bought was over $300, so i wasn't sure how he'd have gotten that. i thought there were sending/receiving limits if you weren't verified as well.

unverified/verified=bank account
unconfirmed/confirmed address=credit card

he probably funded the transaction with a credit card(which is what I do if I do not have any money in my paypal account-even though I am verified)
