Please leave this in OT.. I need some responses quickly!

I am about to format. I have a 500 mhz cpu, geforce 2, and 128 MB of ram. Should I put on 2000 or XP after I format?

if it is reasonably modern computer go w/ XP. if it has a lot of legacy hardware go with 2000.

xp does have a lot of convenient utilities tho.

2K cause itll use less resources and itll be faster for you on that sys

and i dont understand why peopel say XP is better for gameing. i used 2k for a long time. my roomie still does and neither of us ever had a problim gameing on 2k

Personally I would say 2000. XP is going to be struggling with 128 MB of RAM, at least doing all the things you mentioned, and from personal experience viewing friends trying to do the same thing.

Certain software companies like to leave 2000 users out in the rain is the origin of that sentiment, I think.

I say Win2k, it's been more stable with my experience. plus I really have a hard time with a 'pretty' OS :p
