quick newbie question

I'm looking to buy a new hard drive and a friend recomended me to buythis hard drive instead of a raptor,i dont have contact with him for a while but he told me to come here for help 😉.i'm just curious if it will work fine on my motherboard. The first describtion for the hard drives interface says ATA 133 ( wich is compatible with the board), but when i looked down the detailed describtion it says IDE ULTRA ATA133...will that be compatible with my motherboard?

The initial specs for ATA 133 were a Maxtor elaboration of the ATA 100 standard. But if you put one of those Maxtors into an older system, it would happily run in an ATA 100 setup.

I can't recall immediately whether I know where the "Ultra" appendage for ATA 133 might have come from, but you can be assured that it will work in your PC. There really are only three kinds of drives readily available for internal installation in WinTel PC's: EIDE (ATA, sometimes referred to as "Parallel ATA"), SATA, and SCSI.
