Never had this happen before, but I tried to open Outlook and a dialog box popped up asking username, password, and domain. Anyone know what may have caused this? We haven't made any recent changes I'm aware of...

the damn tech forums are so slow at getting responses and I need to get an email ASAP

Logout and log back in.
Either your password is expired or your account is locked out.

not true if you are on the same domain as the server and you log in to the network active directory which is the same one as exchange

Wow, exchange sucks.

As mentioned above, this login is because the domains are different.

well, our domain is the same. My network password doesn't work, and even after loggin back onto the network I still get it. Our IT guy is out today.

Any ideas where the Exchange password is accessed?

it hsould be accessed from the active directory which is integrated with exchange...

a way that usualkly fixes your problem
make sure that the exchange server on your network is your ONLY DNS server on your box
let me know if that works

take my word for it
if you have another DNS server than the actual exchange used on your workstation
it will happen again
you should take a minute to check it out

Correct if you have to log in everytime on a common Domain then the exchange server is not set up properly.

Why would DNS be causing the issue? I don't reference our exchange server as a DNS server in my network settings, and I've never had this kind of problem. I'm curious to know :)

because you using a different DNS aserver as the exchange itself may have yourefer to exchange as a user coming from outside the domain thefore asking you for user and password
i hope this makes sense
