Quick Morning Rant...

So since Verizon has Fiber in the streets and Cable was slowing down and almost painful I switch from Optimum Online to Verizon FiOS. I pay $44.99 a month for 15Mbps down and 2Mbps up. Great service and I can't complain but...

Now Optimum Online sees this and is now offering their new "Boost!" which for $9.95 on top of your existing bill or $44.95 for a new customer. They will give you 30Mbps down and 2Mbps up. WTF and get this they allow Web, FTP and Email servers! On their correct ports even!

I want to go back but cancellation fees blow.

Verizon it's now your move...

Cliffs:
Switched from Cabe to FiOS for better speed
Cable comes back and offer 2x the DL for $.4 less and allows Web, FTP and Email servers
Waiting for Verizon to make the next move.

I hate Verizon with a passion. For the two years I had their phone/DSL service, they never sent me a correct bill once. Every month I'd have to call and get them to adjust it. And of course I'd receive the bill on a Friday so I could stew over it over the weekend.

Nah I am envious of the 100Mbps (SONET) ethernet handoff we have from Lightpath.
