I have a standard 80-min minidisc. How long can I record in LP2 and LP4 mode? Thanks

haha nah, I'm DJ'ing a floor party in 30 minutes and I wanted to record it, it won't fit on a normal minidisc and wasn't sure if I could use LP2 or if I had to use LP4, so I posted, then realized I shoulda searched first...

Good job of explaining what it looks like from our point of view. ;)

i have about 60 songs recorded on a standard 74min LP4 Mode MINIDISC, so with 80mins you can hit about 80songs depending on the length of the each songs.

Yea the party is done...it was about a 2 hour set, so LP2 did the trick nicely :D I'm gonna rip it all to my computer....I'll post it here eventually!

i was gonna say twice the playing time for lp2 and 4 times for lp4, but guess the link also states that.

i have the net md, and been recording songs at lp2 without perceptable loss in sound. but then i'm no audiophile nor do i have super expensive headphones, so i prob can't really tell the difference, but i'm happy just where i am. lp4 did seem a bit off, but i could've also been my imagination. 160mins, not bad for a sub $2 disc.
