Quick LCD Monitor Question

Afternoon all!

Quick question for you. 2-3 years back I bought my father a 19' Benq LCD T903 monitor from Future Shop quite cheap ($300 + tax at the time was a great deal on a 19" LCD monitor). 16 MS reponse, 1280*1024 native resolution, running off a DVI cable on a Radeon 9200 64MB (non-gamer).

Anyways He likes to see the screen a little larger and prefers 1152*864 over 1024*768. Whenever we switch the monitor to 1152*864, the LCD flashes "Non Present Mode" before it applies the new resolution. The resolution seems to work fine. The monitor doesn't seem to present this message at its native or 1024*768. Does anyone know what "non present mode" means?

The native resolution of your monitor is 1280 by 1024. Set it at that. If the images or fonts do not seem large enough then fix that in windows, not by adjusting the resolution.
