quick launch icon

recently reformatted and set up the computer just how i wanted it. i usually set up all my quick launch icons at the same time and put it in a specific order that i want them in. yesterday i deleted the firefox icon from the quick launch and put it back later that night. i usually have it as the second icon from the left. now everytime i reboot or shutdown my computer the icon appears as the last icon when i turn my computer on. i move it back but it happens every time i shutdown. this is on XP SP2. thanks for any help

You could rename the icons, adding prefixes like 01-, 02-, etc. Then when you sort them by name they'll line up in numeric order. I did this for my wife. As for me, I just leave them where they lie.
