Alright all you IE 5 users out there, can you give me a helping hand?

I need to copy all bookmarks, settings etc over from one user to another. Nutscrape stuff is stored in a directory for each user, and you can just copy everything over from one user to another user's directory.

How do I go about quickly copying over settings, bookmarks, proxy information etc etc over from one user to another in ie 5? Is it any different for ie 5.5?

Thanks!

Tauren, thanks, that's a little high-tech for me... could you walk me through that process? ;) :p Just kidding :)

Thanks for the tip, I didn't know IE had an import/export.... but here's the problem, I need to do it from a dos batch file (long story :frown;). Doesn't IE keep all the settings in some directory or some registry key that I can just snag and copy to somewhere else?

I just right drag the c/windows/favorites folder oout & save it somewhere else, then drag that back in when I've got a fresh install or something.

Import and Export is a wizard it will walk you through. When it prompts you for what you want to import just select favorites. If you have ANY trouble let me know. I'll TRY and help!

yeah, i consider myself an advanced computer user...i dont do the import/export stuff. i just go to admins and locals (in win2k), favorites, and save the folder...

its really east for me though because i have like 10 partitions and i just use 1 for random stuff, so i stick everything on there, format c: and im back in business...just my .02 for future reference to anyone =)
