Quick Help

Hey everyone, I have a new rig, everything has been perfectly fine until just now.
I just finished moving from Cali to FL and I just finished putting my rig together.
The problem I am having now is, my D drive is gone.
In Boot, it reads my HD but it doesn't show up in windows.

I would manually type D: and still nothing.
any suggestion?

I dont understand your logic Felix. What does that have to do with my computer not reading my one of my Harddrive???

I have 3 HD:

1 74gb (C)
1 maxtor 250 (D)
1 maxtor 250 (E)

My computer reads C, E...

Now I just opened my computer and notice the Sata connector for D was unplugged.
but due to the small space I had to play with, I decided to remove the entire case (antec p180 case) slot desinated for Harddrives. Doing so, I had to unplug all of them and replug them all back in.
Now I just turned my computer back on and now I lost both D and E drive!!!
im kinda baffled here, any other suggestion?

Did you plug them back into the same SATA jacks that they were on before? What motherboard is this?

rig spec on my signature, epox mobo...
yes I plugged them all into the same place.
I just did it again and got my E drive back up, go figure...

so im still scratching my head... but unlike the first time, now on boot window, it doesnt read D drive... im tired of lifting that beast! grrr lol....

well it seems, the sata cable, the head is cracked which i didnt notice.
Although it still slips in fine, I am assuming it is the only thing that it could be.... grrr...
I have soo many computer junks, piees and all but no sata! Just like when you need a penny to pay exactly even instead of breaking that $100 bill, you can't seem to find a penny on the floor anywhere.... grrr

For the want of a nail a kingdom was lost.

ugh, I actually found a spare sata cable.. a needle in a hay stack moment though!

than I rebooted, posted, it read all 3 and I was happy.. until the NTLDR message came out!
Thankfully for the laptop and search function, I enter bios and looked at the boot sequence and notice my C Drive was being booted last and was never read.. so I changed it and woot.. everything is perfect thankfully!

thx u all though.
