quick help needed with a BIOS question

Greetings all,

Hope everyone had a great Christmas and is getting ready to have a great new year 😀

My question is this. --> Going to flash a bios and was told that certain "flags" are needed to make the
operation a success. What do "flags" mean/do?? and where would I put them?

The flags needed are as follows:

/cc
/cp
/F

Any help would be greatly appreciated 😀

PM or email reply, thank you.

Typically those kinds of flags are run at the command prompt... such as: biosprogram.exe /flag

Wherever you downloaded that bios from, there should have been instructions. You better absolutely make sure you're doing it right, because if you screw up on even the tiniest details, you're motherboard is FUBARed... well, you could recover it if you buy a new bios chip, but that's a pain.

reset to standard clock speeds and it should flash all right. That board had a built-in flash program that works quite well, and I have never had it give that type of error . . . then again, I never tried to run aN AMD 1700+ that fast either <G>.
