I just got my GF2pro today and I getting ready to install it. I just wanted to kinda go over the steps that should be taken. Currently I have a GF2mx installed. Here are the steps that I would take to remove it and install the new card. Uninstall the driver for the current card through add remove programs (DXP) and change the adapter back to standard vga graphics adapter in the display properties. Shut down the pc and go through the motions of removing the old card and installing the new card etc. Pretty standard stuff I know but is it possible to leave the driver intalled since its a unified driver architecture? Or does the it make adjustments depending on which card you have (the driver that is). I'm using windows 2000 and I heard there is a refresh rate problem (old news I know) but I have never experienced a problem as far as I know due to this limitation. How do I fix this though incase it becomes a problem? Thats about it, thanks for any help. :D

One more thing, I am dual booting with win98se. Do I need to take the steps of removing on both os's even if I don't plan on using win98 anytime soon?

Got the card installed and everything appears to be working fine :D I tried to run 3dmark 2000 and it crashes on me at the 24bit rendering thing (the tunnell). Don't know why that is happening but I will try 2001 and see what happens with it. Another thing is unreal tournament, it stays at an almost constant 60fps (no higher no lower) it should be a constant 80fps though. Does this have anything to do with the refresh thing in win2000? Again where do I find info on how to fix this issue? Couldn't wait for any suggestions on the removal and install but it was standard operation. One more thing, in 3dmark 2000 it says that there is something wrong with direct draw and that is why it crashed. I tested with DXDiag and it all worked fine. Thanks again for any help.

Try disabling v-sync, i think its on by default and it might have something to do with the refresh rate, i don't remember the website to take care of that problem though off my head, sorry.
