I've used a WD 80gb drive (8mb cache, 7200 RPM) for a little over a year now, and I've been satisfied with it. It's not too noisy, and the performance is par with other 7200 RPM drives.
It did replace another WD drive that crapped out on me after just a few months...go figure.
Price. Other than that most of the major brands today are fairly competitive. I tend to prefer Seagate, but everyone has their own favorite drive. Just look for the best deal.
