Quick Graphics Card Question

You can watch DVDs on a standard PC monitor regardless of what videocard you have. You can use the S-Video Out of that particular Asus card to connect to your TV. The HDTV-Out will be nice to have if you buy an HDTV.

Pick one of those cards based on your needs.

They all seem exactly the same to me. Shall I just go with the cheapest?

I may be picking up the Dell 2407 soon which is HD compliant, does that mean I have to have a HD compliant graphics card.

Try to google some reviews on them...for example, I recall MaxPC did a scathing review of an older Asus videocard a few months ago. You never know.

I'm not that familiar with the 2407. But I don't believe you need an "HD-compliant" card, just one that can do high rez (like 1600x1200). And trust me, if you can afford a monitor like that, don't skimp on the graphics card...it's like putting regular unleaded in a 6-series.
