I am looking at hercules site. 3d prophet sdr uses geforce 256 chip.
Is this an older chip than geforce2 or is it the same?
I want the newest chip w/ddr so it lasts longer right? Thanks,Richard
 
The SDR geforce 256 is was the 1st Geforce. The latest DDR Geforce based card is the mightily fast and expensive Geforce 2 Ultra.
 
I do not recall ever seeing a Geforce2 card advertised with SDR memory, so nearly, if not, all GF2 cards are DDR.

The latest GF2 card from Hercules is the 3D Prophet II, and is DDR.
