Quick easy salmon cooking tips.

I got a few fillets. Anyone have any quick tips on cooking em?

*Pic of the salmon once made.

Tasted great. I might have over cooked it a tad but the taste was fine. I ended up putting it in a pan in the oven. Seasoned with lemon pepper, pepper, and seasoning salt.

Well, I like a sauce made with Mayo, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, lots of dill, and some thyme. Coat the fillets after cooking them on each side in some light olive oil.

Sometimes I do an eggs benedict with salmon and asparagus.

Yum

If its wild caught ocean smoked salmon you could do sushi, but that really depends on quality. Freshwater salmon has too many parasites.

Grill, low heat, skin side down. I've done a nice citrus glaze before and that's great. Or use a little salt and seasoning, not too much. Generally don't overpower the taste of the salmon, assuming this is good salmon, and don't overcook it.

Don't overcook them.

Olive oil, cracked pepper, kosher salt, paprika, lemon, dill, onions.

Heat oil in pan over medium to medium high heat, add sliced onions, season to taste.
Brush light oil on salmon and use above seasonings to taste. I like a bit of a crust on the fish.
Add fish to pan when onions are done sweating and cook.

Frying pan?

No, season them with a touch of salt and pepper, a little celery salt, a touch of mace and some parsley. Put a small tab of butter on each fillet and bake in the oven at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes or so (extend 3-4 minutes for thicker cuts).

If the fish is fresh this is the best tasting salmon you'll ever have.

salt & pepper, 250 degree oven for 20 min
serve with sauce made from diced cucumber, minced dill, greek yogurt (or substitute regular dannon plain yogurt strained through cheesecloth for 30 min) & a little salt

or

Get some cedar planks. Place fish on them, coat top of fish with mixture of brown sugar and dijon mustard. Cook on grill over dying coals, closed grill lid, 25 minutes.

or

Brush with teriyaki sauce, bake at 350 for 15 minutes, serve over sushi rice (cook medium grain rice, then mix with rice vinegar, sugar and salt) and steamed vegetables.

crumble up a lot of ritz crackers place on bottom of slightly greased shallow baking pan, lay salmon on top of crumbled crackers and spread some mayo over the top of salmon, add more crumbled crackers to cover mayo and salmon, bake at 350 for 20 minutes or until done

I wrap up portion-sized pieces in tin foil with a pat of butter, slice of lemon, some fresh dill and a couple tablespoons of white wine, usually pinot grigio since I drink that and have it laying around. Bake at 400 for 15 minutes, maybe a bit more.

Oh yeah, and make sure to make salmon croquettes with any leftovers. Flake salmon, mix with egg, diced onion, diced red & green pepper, flour and a splash of milk. Make 3 inch wide 3/4 inch thick patties, coat in matzo meal and pan fry in butter until golden brown & delicious.
