Quick Easy Question....

I have three computers networked together, 2 of them are win2k machines, no problems with them, file, print, and internet connection sharing work. The third computer is a win98 machine, internet connection works, but i can't access either of the other two computers.

It prompts me for a password, but I have no password set, and i don't know where to set one. Is there a way to get it to not prompt me for a password to get into the other computers, or can someone tell me where to set the password at? Thanks.

Add a user account on the both win2k machines for the win98 machine to use. Go into Control Panel and then open "Users and Passwords."

If the 9.x machine logs on locally as
Login: 98user
pass: winblows
Then right click "My Computer" >> Manage >> "Local Users and Groups," click to expand >> Right click 'Users' >> "Add User" >> Username '98user' >> Password 'winblows.'
That's from memory, and not having a 2k machine in front of me, I'm not sure if you hit next, or close...

Thanks a bunch, I will test it tomorrow. I don't have the 98 computer on or the cable hooked up, it was running down the hallway, but i'm running it under the floor above the basement's drop ceiling right now so no one trips over the cable!
